This Wednesday we went on our field trip to the Beckman Institute in the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Our tour guide was Patricia Jones, the Associate Director for Research at the Institute. We toured the facilities and got to see a room filled with cameras and had the opportunity to see the MRI machines. The Beckman Institute was named after Arnold and Mabel Beckman. We learned about Arnold Beckman, his inventions, and some of his other contributions to technology and science. Thank you Patricia for the tour and for the students who came out today! At the bottom is a gallery of pictures that were taken during the field trip. When?
